The MyBattery Editor MyBattery lets you customize the main dialog window. With the graphical editor, you can add, delete and position items as you desire. Opening The Editor You can open the editor by either double-clicking on the main dialog window, or by choosing Open Editor from the Editor menu. The Editor Window When the Editor window opens, a window similar to the one shown below will open (only much bigger; a portion of the whole window is shown below). Each of the dialog items is framed with a dim line, while the dark rectangle indicates the size of the main dialog window when you close the editor.   Selecting Display Items You can select the display items that are shown by choosing them off the Editor menu. Note that some items won't be selectable; not all PowerBooks support all of the features (the actual items are described at the bottom of this chapter). Once you've chosen the items you want to display, you can drag them around using the mouse. Icons and gauges are shown with the appropriate symbol, but text items are shown with abbreviations. For example, the MyBattery estimate is "estM", the elapsed time is "elap", and so on. Resizable Display Area You can choose the size of the main display window by resizing it. The area that will be normally displayed is outlined by the dark border. You resize it by grabbing the small drag box in the lower right corner of the rectangle. Saving your Changes Once you've got everything laid out the way you want it, click on the Save button. Your changes will be preserved. Items Available for Display The items that are available for display is different for each model of PowerBook. To complicate matters even further, System 7.5 adds new features to most PowerBooks. MyBattery will determine what features are available on your particular PowerBook, and they will be selectable from the Editor menu.
